Tons of candy was offered to guests as they left the wedding as their favor. Even the monogram lettering was full of sweets!
The couple loved that their unusual Funfetti cake was “beautiful without taking itself too seriously.”
A mix of inventive arrangements—from hanging floral canopies to flower balls suspended in water—added major drama to the main room.
The centerpieces included an assortment of pastel pink flowers including roses, orchids and even flower balls suspended in water.
Low lighting and white rose centerpieces set the mood for cocktail hour at the Mandarin Oriental.
A lush bed of flowers elevated the simple, elegant cards.
Guests were treated to a spectacular view of Central Park
behind the towering cherry blossom displays. (The shades were drawn as the candlelit ceremony began.)
Inspired by Madame Grès’s ethereal, sculptural gowns when making her dress, Sara’s design showcased layer upon layer of silk chiffon and a long, removable train.
The Bride: Sara, 25, clothing designer

The Groom: Matt, 31, Analyst at Investment Firm

For New Yorkers Sara and Matt the city they love, live in and got engaged in (he proposed on one of their morning runs in Washington Square Park) was the obvious choice. Pulling off the sleek and stylish affair at the Mandarin Oriental was equally easy, thanks to Sara’s keen aesthetic eye. From the artful floral arrangements to the gown and veil she designed herself, her modern, feminine style permeated each and every detail of the day.
